Jobs Lost, Futures Uncertain: The Human Cost of Industrial Downsizing The latest casualty of a rapidly shifting industrial landscape is International Motors' Springfield Assembly Plant and Truck Specialty Center in Ohio.

Approximately 1,341 employees will soon find themselves without a job as the Canadian defense and commercial vehicle manufacturer Roshel takes over the facilities.

The numbers are stark: 1,314 assembly plant workers and 27 Truck Specialty Center employees will be let go effective October 2nd.
