Aftermath of Devastation: A Glimpse into Colombia's Resilience A 7. 4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday morning, leaving a trail of destruction and loss of life in its wake.
The disaster has claimed at least 130 lives and injured over 470 people, with the epicentre located in the western department of Chocó.
Buildings collapsed, and entire neighborhoods were severely damaged in the quake's aftermath. The neighboring country of Venezuela also felt the tremors, still recovering from a double earthquake on June 24th.
